OverviewThe Certificate III in Disability Work combines theory and practical work, teaching you the skills necessary to work with people with both physical and mental disabilities. On completion of the course, your willingness to help others teamed with your supportive nature will help people with disabilities experience greater levels of independence and an enhanced quality of life. ![]() Traffic Jam activity - Disability class exploring group dynamics Learning ApproachThe Certificate III in Disability Work skillfully combines theory and practice through students attending formal training at St. Helens and completing a number of work placements. DurationFull time: 3 days a week for 10 weeks, 9am to 3pm (days are dependent on the availability of students). In addition, students will be required to undertake two weeks unpaid practical placement. Part time: 2 nights a week for 28 weeks, 3 hours per night. In addition, students will be required to undertake 80 hours of unpaid practical placement. Units Offered
