Why We're Different

Australian Institute of Workplace Learning stands out in the training market by:

  • Training with integrity – we actually give people real, demanding training and are honest enough not to find them competent if they don’t meet the standard
  • Customising workbooks and face to face sessions for individual clients
  • Supporting students through their assessment with phone based tutorials or email assistance
  • Helping clients access government incentives to support their training initiatives
  • Providing real, measurable competencies in soft skills – no more “gurus” wasting your staff’s time
  • Ensuring all training programs use research done in the last 5 years
  • Maintaining a huge range of training products for specific courses across the Institute’s full list of qualifications
  • Designing programs for our clients that enables them to win training awards

An organisation with a difference

The Australian Institute of Workplace Learning is a different kind of organisation.

Our Aproach to business shows through the way we:

  • Focus efforts on Personal Growth and Professional Achievement. In fact these 4 words have become the Institute’s motto as it recognises the needs of both the individual and the organisation.
  • Aim to make our training plant seeds for later – we may teach specific competencies but we’re really trying to empower staff and wake them up to learning opportunities.
  • Target individual growth and change as well as giving students a qualification
  • Are values-based and more interested in long term than short term relationships.
  • Develop coaching relationships with many clients
  • Provide professional development for our trainers and managers

The Institute is an active participant in the training arena to enable it to be up to date with the vocational training and education agenda. Staff from the Institute are members of:

  • Service Sheets Council RTO reference group.
  • The Council for Wholesale, Retail and Personal Services (WRAPS) Industry Advisory Body
  • The Road Transport and Warehousing and Storage Industry Reference Group
  • Australian Business Limited Educational Policy Committee
  • Health and Community Services Skills Council preferred provider listing
